Meet Sarah Larson Levey, the woman who turned feeling like an outsider into building one of the most influential yoga communities today. As the founder of Y7 Studio and now a mentor to female founders, Sarah’s journey is rooted in self-trust, reinvention, and creating space for others to shine.
My name is Sarah Larson Levey and I am the Founder of Y7 Studio. My inspiration actually came from feeling like an outsider in the yoga world - I would leave a lot of yoga classes feeling discouraged and like I wasn't good enough to be there. I really wanted to be able to practice somewhere that I could truly feel at ease in my body and explore new movements without the judgement of others in the room or from myself. Y7 was born! Candlelit with no mirrors and movement driven by the beat of the music, the class is designed to encourage you to lose yourself in the yoga practice.
Landing on the cover of Inc. Magazine - it was truly a surreal moment to be recognized for what me and my team were building.
Yes! I am still with the company and getting us ready for the next stage of growth. I have also recently launched my coaching/strategic consulting practice that focuses on supporting female founders in growth stages without losing their vision or their minds.
Half moon. I just love it - there is something so beautifully challenging about expanding your body in opposition while balancing - it's a pose that has it all.
Right now I am really inspired by Ky Dixon, the voice & thought leader behind the telepathy tapes. I just love how she is bringing awareness to an underserved community and diving into topics that have long been avoided.
My kids. I know it sounds cheesy but I want them to know that everyday I am working to be better and do more.
Navy blue. It has depth and warmth at the same time, and has this calm intensity but also grounded. I also just love wearing it lol.
