INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

ABOUT TANYA TAYLOR:

Tanya Taylor is a New York-based womenswear brand whose mission is to inspire all women to live in color. Through the artful use of color and original hand-painted prints, each Tanya Taylor collection is designed to bring confidence and high-energy happiness into daily life.

Each Tanya Taylor collection is designed with real women in mind. We consider fit and function, so that women can use our clothing as a tool to feel like the best version of themselves each day.

We are looking for an intern who is passionate, hardworking, detail oriented and a creative thinker to join our Sales Team. This internship is unpaid so candidates must be able to receive academic credit.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assist with sample management including copy info, ensuring samples arrive to and from accounts in a timely manner 

Weekly update of ATS 

Assisting the sales team in day-to-day operations including market preparation, Joor Shoots, dressing models during market, competitor analysis reports, order entry, etc

Sales Report development in Excel, Joor, and other operating systems 

GOALS:

Learn about the different departments within the company and how they support the Sales team 

Gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations of the Sales Team 

Understand how the Sales team assist in the creation of a collection 

Gain working knowledge of spreadsheet-based data manipulation, formulas, and basic techniques 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Currently enrolled in university and pursuing a B.A.

Strong organizational skills 

Strong communication skills 

Strong time management skills 

Strong in Microsoft office skills (excel, word) 

Proficient to strong retail math experience

Available to work in person at our Union Square office a minimum of 4 days a week

Rising Junior or Rising Senior 

Must receive school credit for the internship
