Christie's ambassador, Lydia Fenet, tells us more about her new book Claim Your Confidence.

Why did you decide to write Claim Your Confidence?

When I was on book tour for The Most Powerful Woman in the Room is You, I kept hearing the same questions during the Q & A portion of the evening: "How do I become more confident? How do I get rid of Imposter Syndrome? Or, can you share any tips to become more confident?" It was so clear to me that there was a need for a book to address this question...and so I started writing.

How do we become more confident?

You need to get comfortable getting uncomfortable. Start trying things that make you feel a little nervous - once you start pushing yourself out of your comfort zone you will realize that you are capable of so much more than you ever thought.

What has been the most memorable sale in your 20-year career as an auctioneer?

I just returned from LA where I had the honor of raising money for the Elton John Aids Foundation on Oscar night. It was a truly remarkable night - and we exceeded their goal which is always the best feeling!

What motivates you when you need an extra push?

Thinking about the example I am setting for my children. But if that doesn't motivate me, I call my mom, sister or friends who are always there to give me a boost.

Who are your favorite artists at the moment?

I always have my eye on Mallory Page - her large scale abstracts are obsession worthy - and she's from Louisiana so I feel such a strong bond to her work.

If you were a color, what color would you be and why?

RED. Strong, bold and beautiful!
