Meet Lauren Adey, former intern for team TT turned Head of Communications for Nordstrom Canada, in her favorite Toronto-based coffee shop, Manita.
Who are the women who inspire you?
Oprah Winfrey, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and my mom.
If you were a color, what color would you be and why?
It goes without saying that what we wear is a reflection of who we are. Every day (or occasion) is an opportunity for self-expression. To me, the colour red is vibrant and strong; when I wear it, I feel poised and powerful.
What has been the proudest moment in your career?
I have three! Interning for Tanya Taylor, my seven years at Nordstrom Canada and being featured in The Globe and Mail’s 2023 Canada’s Best Dressed List.
What advice would you give women looking to achieve their career coals?
Stay curious, always trust your instinct and never hesitate to buy a great pair of shoes.
How would you describe your personal style?
Colourful, dynamic and playful.
What is your go-to styling staple?
Overalls and jumpsuits, usually paired with a button down, either structured, with a statement detail or – my preference for most looks – oversized. I typically accessorize most outfits with a pair of sunnies, and my most recent find is a pair from a New Orleans brand MOXLOX. I can no longer leave the house without them!
