Responsibilities:
• Design seasonal collections across fully fashioned knitwear and cut & sew categories, from initial concept through final adoption.
• Develop technical packages (tech packs) including construction details, measurements, trims, yarn specifications, and fabric callouts.
• Research trends, yarns, materials, stitches, and competitive product to inform cohesive seasonal direction.
• Collaborate with the wovens design and product development teams to select yarn, fabrics, and trims within cost and lead time parameters.
• Develop yarn, fabric, and trim sourcing directives aligned to seasonal concept; initiate knit-downs, swatch and stitch development packages, lab dips, and strike-offs as needed.
• Participate in fit sessions, provide detailed fit comments, and ensure timely approvals through the product development calendar.
• Partner with the wovens design and merchandising teams on assortment planning and category strategy.
• Evolve the brand’s design aesthetic across new silhouettes, fabrications, gauges, and techniques.
• Manage workflow efficiently to meet seasonal deliverables and development milestones.
Qualifications:
• 3–6 years of fashion design experience with strong expertise in fully fashioned knitwear and/or cut & sew.
• Technical proficiency in creating accurate, detailed tech packs independently, including construction diagrams and BOMs.
• In-depth knowledge of knitwear construction, yarns, stitches, gauges, and techniques, with a strong eye for quality and detail.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes across knit and woven categories.
• Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO or similar 3D tools a plus.
• Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent professional experience.
• Portfolio required demonstrating creative range, taste level, and technical ability across knitwear and cut & sew.
Please include both a resume and cover letter. Personal websites and portfolios are optional but encouraged to be included.
