ASSOCIATE ART DIRECTOR
Tanya Taylor is looking for a skilled, innovative Associate Art Director to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is able to manage creative projects with precision and imaginative creativity with an elevated, artful eye.
The Associate Art Director will be responsible for executing the Creative Director’s vision for all brand content. Key areas of responsibility will range from conception and execution of art direction for e-commerce, editorial and lookbook shoots to graphic design for all print and digital marketing collateral, inclusive of email, paid media, and site touchpoints. Must have a keen eye for photography, design, and typography, and be familiar with current design trends and best practices for both digital and print. iPhone photography and a passion for social media branding a plus.
The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion and design and has the ability to work efficiently with multi-disciplinary collaborators in order to execute designs based on a strategic direction. Critical thinking, attention to detail, project management and excellent communication skills will also be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Design Director and Creative Director to translate all marketing and creative ideas into effective digital and print collateral to be used across website, email, social media, paid media, packaging/trim, events, and press
Create brand standards for graphic design and photography (both e-commerce and editorial)
Leadership of brand photo shoots in partnership with Design and Marketing, from conceptualization/art direction to set design, production, recommendations for photographers and stylists, etc.
Lead castings for editorial and ecommerce shoots, possess a forward-thinking and elevated vision for casting.
Lead post-production efforts as it relates to photo selects, retouching notes and timely delivery of assets to respective teams
Translate strong creative concepts into digital-first content to be used across all channels, with special attention to paid media
Conceptualize and create iPhone photography and content for social media in partnership with Social Media Manager
Design and format seasonal creative for website pages, weekly emails, advertising assets, and customer collateral in collaboration with E-Commerce + Marketing teams
Source freelance support, such as videography, as needed for special projects
Support design and sales team as needed with miscellaneous creative work, such as photography of looks on fit model for sales team
Support Marketing and PR team by strategically aligning creative within brand partnerships and licensing decks with desired audience/outcome
Experience with photography and retouching a plus
Bring passion, creativity, energy and inspiration to the team; possess the ability to suggest feedback with conviction

QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience as a graphic designer, or equivalent
Extremely fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
Photography, retouching, and/or UX/UI experience a plus
A multi-tasker who can balance quality with efficiency in a small company
A detail-oriented, organized, and self-starting individual
Someone who works well under pressure; able to use discretionary judgment and make solid decisions
Must have a positive attitude, be able to take feedback, and quickly pivot to new directions when needed
Strong aesthetic/understanding of contemporary women’s wear and competitive fashion landscape
Strong sense of style and color and exceptional taste level
